When the Struggle Is Real

This morning, the struggle is real. It’s 7:48 a.m., and I’m on the bike at the gym — doing my 30-minute ride, chasing last week’s results.

I ride every day. But that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. I get tired. I get demotivated. Some days, my body says “no” and my mind wants to agree.

But — and it’s a good but — I still show up.

Sitting in the car before walking in, I was giving myself a little pep talk: “I need motivation right now.” This week has been challenging, both physically and mentally. But here I am — pedalling, sweating, pushing through.

Some days you don’t need to go faster. You just need to keep going. Take it slow, keep your 30 minutes, hit that 10 km mark — and remind yourself that showing up counts too.

And funny enough, as I write this while cycling, I realise… even this moment is motivation.

“Stamina — push till the last second. That’s where strength is built.”

And remember — the cooling down is just as important as the warm-up. It’s where you catch your breath, reflect, and prepare for the next season ahead
